Let's make another.

We are outraged over the anti-immigration and anti-muslim measures being enacted by our federal government. We have been talking about making another collaborative project that explores why we are outraged and highlights our commitment to human rights, open borders, and celebrating our country of refugees.

Drawing Prompts:

  • Draw the mode of transportation that your family took to come to this country. You can start at ellis island or elsewhere.  Draw a boat, a plane, a raft, a stage coach, a railroad, a car, etc.  We know this land is stolen land, so we also want to include depictions of native american settlement and transport.  We also know many people were brought here against their will, so we also want to include depictions of slave ship manifests or other transport.
  • Draw a bridge in your city / life
  • Draw a symbol of freedom or the values that your family came here to pursue in the United State.

We will incorporate large and small drawings into the design. Please send us your napkin sketches, post-it notes, or larger drawings. Take a clear photo, and send it our way!
